Restored Lives Training Conference 2024

What is it?

This annual one-day training conference is for anyone who is passionate about reducing the impact of family breakdown on individuals and communities. You will find out how you can help including: how to set up and run a Restored Lives course for adults, how to facilitate small groups and how to support separated and divorced people. There'll also be an opportunity to find out more about our workshop, Your Direction, which is aimed at teenagers and young adults whose parents have separated or divorced.

Our course, Restored Lives, for adults is an eight-week ready-made course that supports anyone going through or recovering from a relationship breakdown. Your Direction is aimed at 12-18-year-olds and 18-30-year-olds whose parents have separated. We provide all the resources you need to set up your course for free.

• How to run the adult course (including new content that has been developed recently)
• Experiences from guests and leaders
• How to create a supportive environment and other tips
• Bringing in other experts e.g. solicitor, mediator, counsellors etc

• Information about our new five-session workshop Your Direction

• Anyone who is currently running or helping to deliver or support the course
• Anyone interested in finding out more about our new workshop for teenagers and young adults

More about Restored Lives

We have a vision of restoring the lives of individuals impacted by relationship breakdown, giving people the confidence and knowledge of how to move forward successfully.

Restored Lives has been running for the last 25 years, across the UK and in many other countries, helping thousands of people recover from the impact of divorce and relationship breakdown. The course breaks the isolation that people feel and gives them the tools they need to face the difficult issues that relationship breakdown brings. Key issues such as dealing with emotions, communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness, parenting and resolving legal issues are all tackled in a practical, non-judgemental way.

Restored Lives is based on Christian values but is for people of all faiths and none. It represents an opportunity to reach out to their wider communities as part of social transformation. The course has taken place in numerous different settings and many churches work together across their community to bring people from all backgrounds onto the course.

We have published course content videos, a guest manual and a companion book which makes running the course easy – all you really need is a heart to help people who are going through the biggest crisis of their lives. We will give you all the tools you need to come alongside people and support them.

Where

The conference is being held at HTB St Lukes in Earls court. We’d encourage you to come along in person, meet the team and network with others who are running or want to run the course.

If you can’t attend in person we will also be streaming the event so you can join online.

£30 to attend in person - includes a light lunch and refreshments

£20 to attend online
