WEEKEND RESTORE + YOGA NIDRA TEACHER TRAINING // OSLO
For one weekend this fall, the Atman Yoga School invites you into the shala for deep relaxation, learning, and community.
Are you feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, or like your nervous system needs a reset? Are you interested in learning new tools that can help you calm your mind and ground your body?
This training is open to all levels (existing teachers and non-teachers), offers Yoga Alliance credits, and is all about exploring sustainable relaxation techniques that foster self-healing.
Join us for this teacher training, where we investigate:
+ How stillness is the key to healing, according to Ayurveda
+ The WHY behind these practices
+ Finding your Sankalpa, or "heart's greatest desire"
+ The foundations of restorative yoga (how to use props)
+ The foundations of Yoga Nidra meditation (or NSDR/non-sleep
deep rest)
+ The brain anatomy of what happens during meditation
This weekend is all about slow, cosy, and comfortable. It is partially a training, and partially a retreat -- an opportunity to take time to nourish yourself on all levels. (Who doesn't love THAT?!)
WHAT DOES AYURVEDA SAY?
November is the PERFECT time to attend this weekend, and to use these modalities to balance out the Vata energy of the season. Vata is all about air + ether, and when this dosha is out of balance it can cause: feeling ungrounded, spaciness in the mind, anxiety, increased cold in the body, increased dehydration/dry skin, increased challenges with digestion, and a sense of chaos or disorganization in your life.
Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra balance the Vata energy by slowing down, grounding, and calming the mind and body. And all the blankets and props keep you warm, as you cocoon up in total relaxation. It is like taking a yoga nap!
