About this Event
Iberia Medical Center has partnered with Acadian Ambulance, Cardiovascular Institute of the South and KADN News 15 to offer the community free CPR training designated to give participants the skills and confidence to act in an emergency.
We are excited to welcome Darla Montgomery of News 15 as the event co-emcee, helping bring life-saving education to our community alongside our valued partners.
This interactive training features live demonstrations and guided hands-on practice led by medical professionals. Participants will gain practical knowledge and experience in responding to common life-threating emergencies.
Participants will learn:
- CPR: Adult and Infant
- Choking Response: Adult and Infant
- AED Defibrillator Demonstration
- Stop the Bleed ® Tourniquet Demonstration
The training is open to individuals 4th grade and up and is free to attend. Food and a t-shirt will be provided and all will receive a certificate of completion.
Sudden cardiac arrest and traumatic injuries can happen anywhere. Through “Restore the Rhythm: Community CPR,” organizers aim to empower community members with the knowledge and confidence to step in and potentially save a life.
