Restorative Yoga in the Park (In-Person Program)
About this Event
On Thursday, August 20th, from 7-8 pm, Eating Disorders Nova Scotia will be hosting Restorative Yoga in the Park! Join us at Fort Needham Memorial Park in Halifax's North End. We will meet at the entrance to the park (Novalea Drive across from Hennessy Place Street after the Hydrostone).
We invite you to reconnect with your body and mind through this gentle, restorative, outdoor yoga class. This eating-disorder-informed practice will offer an inclusive, gentle, and grounding space, prioritizing curiosity, body neutrality, and tools for stress management. This Yin-style yoga class will incorporate breath work, mindfulness, and is open to all levels.
Please note that registration is required for this event and space is limited. Please cancel 24 hours in advance if you know you can no longer make it to create space for others to join.
This program is being offered free of charge, though donations are appreciated. Provide your mailing address for donations over $10 to be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
Our programs are open to anyone aged 16+ exploring their relationship with food/body/exercise.
