Restorative Recess No. 2 (New Date)

When was the last time you got together with a group of your peers and just PLAYED? Sun on your skin, grass under your feet, cheeks sore from laughing—how long has it been since you made time for genuine, unencumbered joy?
Restorative Recess is a summer series of outdoor events for any adult who is still a kid at heart, or has been trying to find that feeling again. It is an ode to the healing art of play, and an act of gratitude to your inner child.
Each meetup will take place at a park in Racine or Kenosha county where we’ll play 2 classic recess games, broken up into rounds as needed depending on group size. We’ll start with introductions, explanation of gameplay and rules; and end with a check-in and a short, guided meditation.
What to wear?: Clothes you can MOVE in. Weather updates will be provided for each event prior to start time, and we’ll reschedule under adverse conditions.
What to bring?: Water! Excitement! Willingness to participate! (And probably a blanket if you plan on staying for the mediation)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an event series for adults. My goal is to cultivate a SAFE, non-judgmental, INCLUSIVE environment where we afford love, respect, and acceptance to ourselves, our inner child, and everyone else in attendance. Nothing else will be tolerated.
