Join me at the magical Michael's Folly Retreat space for a day of nature connection and rest in celebration of the Spring Equinox. Michael's Folly is a unique space which has its own straw bale studio, welcoming yurt, tranquil woodland and mystical labyrinth. Our day will begin at 10.30am but you are welcome to arrive from 10.00am and explore the surroundings or enjoy a cup of tea. We will begin with a sharing circle and cacao ceremony in the straw bale studio followed by a sound bath meditation. We will then spend time creating flower head dresses in honour of the goddess' Eostre and Blodeuwedd who are celebrated at this time. This will bring us up to lunch where we will enjoy a shared buffet together. A hot vegan soup will be served and you are invited to bring your favourite dish or snacks to share along side this. In the afternoon we will explore the woodland and practice the Japanese art of Shinrin Yoku or Forest Bathing. This is a wonderful way to mindfully connect with nature and explore our environment with all our senses. After some healthy snacks we will have time for quiet reflection where you may wish to explore the grounds and create some land art. Those of you who want to walk the labyrinth can do so to the meditative beat of the drum. We will enjoy some more nourishing food (please bring something to share) before we hold our fire ceremony to release and manifest for the coming season of spring. We will close the ceremony around 8pm but you are welcome to stay by the fire for another hour while the embers burn down. This retreat day is all about connection and setting your intentions for the spring, when the seeds you planted last autumn and nurtured through the darker months are now ready to burst forth and bear fruit.
