Worried about your teenager’s mental health but unsure what to say, what to do or when to seek further support?
This live online session is designed for parents and carers who want practical guidance, reassurance, and realistic strategies for supporting teenagers through emotional pressure, low mood, anxiety, stress or changes in behaviour.
Led by Ross Thompson, Strategic Safeguarding Manager and Coach with over 16 years of experience supporting young people and families, this session focuses on helping parents respond calmly, confidently and effectively.
This is not therapy or clinical mental health training. It is a practical parent support session focused on communication, early support, emotional awareness and knowing how to respond when something does not feel right.
During the session, we will explore:
• Recognising common signs that a teenager may be struggling.
• Starting difficult conversations without pressure or conflict.
• Responding calmly when emotions are high.
• Understanding stress, anxiety, low mood, and withdrawal.
• Supporting emotional safety at home.
• Knowing when and how to seek further help.
• Practical steps parents can use straight away.
This session is suitable for parents and carers who want to feel more informed, prepared, and confident when supporting their teenager’s emotional wellbeing.
The session is delivered live online in a supportive and focused group environment.
Joining details will be emailed after booking.
