If you are a yoga teacher interested in becoming trauma informed, learning more about trauma and toxic stress and their impact, want to deepen your understanding of trauma in relation to healing through yoga & mindfulness, or want to explore and practice with a like minded community, then this Resilient Yoga Teacher Trauma Training may be for you!Grounded Healing’s Resilient Yoga Teacher Trauma Training, led by Shea Gardner, is a certification and Yoga Alliance CEU accredited training. Yoga teachers will learn the science and history of trauma and toxic stress along with trauma informed yoga and mindfulness practices to safely support students and help them navigate their own everyday life. Teachers will explore evidence-based studies, window of tolerance and nervous system regulation, social impact, growth mindset and more all in context to teaching yoga. This training includes theory, application, community and conversation, and reflection and journaling.
In this training, teachers will:
-Deepen understanding of trauma & PTSD (history, physiology, body|mind|spirit, healing)
-Deepen awareness of trauma & its social impact
-Explore polyvagal theory, window of tolerance, growth mindset & evidence-based studies
-Be guided through trauma sensitive yoga & mindfulness practices
-Build on skills and gain trauma sensitive yoga & mindfulness tools for everyday life
-Learn how to teach yoga from a trauma sensitive lens
-Connect with a like-minded community in conversation
-Become trauma informed
*There will be additional requirements/homework for completion of certification, not including the in person CEU's.
Dates: Friday, November 1st-Sunday, November 3rd
Times: please note that this is a 3 day training, with different hours for each day!
Fri 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Sat 9:00am - 3:00pm
Sun 9:00am - 12:00pm

Cost: $350.00
Yoga Alliance Credits: 12 Hours Total
→ Techniques, Training & Practice (TTP) - 5 Hours

→ Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics (YPLE) - 2 Hours
