About this Event
🌱 Want to help create a stronger, greener future?
Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB) at Philippe Park on Saturday, February 21st to learn about Shoreline and Coastal Resiliency!
Living in coastal communities, residents of Pinellas County are more than familiar with the threats from large storms – particularly wave action and water inundation. Come join us for a presentation on shoreline & coastal resiliency! Learn why our natural shorelines are important and how dunes, mangroves, sea oats, and other native plants protect our homes and businesses from storm impacts.
About Resilient Roots Project
Community Foundation Tampa Bay is proud to support KPB in advancing hurricane recovery and long-term environmental resilience through the Resilient Roots Project.
This initiative empowers youth and residents across Pinellas County to restore local tree canopies and improve natural spaces in four county parks following the 2024 hurricane season.
These efforts will help enhance biodiversity, restore critical habitats, and strengthen our community’s resilience to future environmental challenges.
