The exhibition looks at how the current trend in photography of looking at the landscape from a personal standpoint is also reflected in Nordic analog photography. The artists´focus is on the personal experience and connection to the landscape around us, expressed through a poetic vision and handmade analog interventions. The images shared in this exhibition are filtered through individual impressions and rather than claiming to be neutral documentation of a place they depict an insistent will to move from being an observer to an active participant in both the external and internal landscapes that define our connection to the world.

The exhibition is curated by Natalia Kopkina - Finnish Darkroom Association (Helsinki), and Stig Marlon Weston – CYAN studio (Oslo).
This exhibition features 27 artists who participated in the Nordic Analog Network (NAN) residency program from 2022 to 2024 or are artists who run the Network darkrooms.
The Network was established by CYAN Studio (Oslo) and the Finnish Darkroom Association (Helsinki), and connects analog photography darkrooms across the Nordic countries to foster artistic exchange, mobility, and the transmission of tactile, craft-based knowledge. The Darkroom Exchange program supports artists working with analog methods by offering Nordic artists residencies in darkrooms across Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland.
Between 2022 and 2024, 26 artists participated and all 10 darkrooms received visiting artists.
