Residency Concert w/ Travis Grode + Friends
Travis is a singer-songwriter from the Badlands of South Dakota. Primarily a recording artist, he crafts his music in the studio alongside longtime collaborator Phil Norman, a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and classically trained cellist known for his unconventional approach to the instrument. Together they’ve recently released two singles, Lexington and Worn Out Love Songs, from an upcoming full-length record. Rooted in acoustic guitar, Travis’s music blends contemporary folk and Americana with subtle Western influences, pairing intimate songwriting with spacious, cinematic arrangements. His primary influences include Ben Howard, Bon Iver, and Damien Jurado.
More than a performance, each evening is an intimate exploration of the creative process. Through live songs, stories, photos, videos, and conversation, Travis shares the ideas, routines, and creative practices behind his work, along with the realities of balancing family, a full-time career, and life as an independent recording artist.
