Rescuing the Rescuer: The 99 Initiative
About this Event
First responders run toward chaos every single day. Yet when the sirens fade and the uniform comes off, the stress, hyper-vigilance, and trauma carried on the job do not simply disappear at clock-out. They follow you home, often straining marriages and exhausting the families who stand faithfully beside you.
Rescuing the Rescuer: The 99 Initiative was built to break that cycle. Endorsed by Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams and presented by A Silent War Within and Five Arrows Forged in partnership with Church of the Harvest, this soul-centered summit is crafted specifically for all first responders and their spouses or significant others. This is far from a dry corporate wellness seminar. Instead, it is an unfiltered, high-impact day designed to deliver tactical mental health tools, genuine fellowship, and spiritual restoration for your mind, your marriage, and your home.
This event welcomes frontline personnel from every branch of public safety across DeSoto County and the surrounding region. Police officers, sheriff's deputies, firefighters, rescue personnel, paramedics, EMTs, flight crews, 911 dispatchers, and frontline healthcare workers are invited to attend alongside their partners. Attendees will hear from national keynote speaker Officer Kristen McGlothlin, an active Arkansas law enforcement officer widely known on social media as Tactical Tinkerbell. To offer emotional and mental breathing room midway through the day, musical artist Lauren will deliver an intimate live acoustic set for couples to recharge together.
The schedule unfolds seamlessly from morning to evening. Doors open at 8:00 AM with fresh coffee, donuts, and warm hospitality. The morning sessions deliver accredited Continuing Education hours, covering clinical mental health, operational stress, personal testimony, and cultivating intentional family presence. At 11:45 AM, attendees will gather for a free catered fellowship lunch provided by local sponsors, complete with high-value door prize giveaways donated by local DeSoto County businesses.
Following lunch and the midday acoustic set, Officer McGlothlin takes the stage at 2:15 PM for an empowering session on tactical resilience. At 4:30 PM, the conference transitions into its signature afternoon split breakouts. First responders gather in the main sanctuary for a raw, peer-led panel of veteran frontline leaders sharing unfiltered battles with mental health, addiction, and the adrenaline rush. Simultaneously, spouses assemble in the fellowship hall for an interactive session led by a certified marriage specialist focusing on secondary trauma, communication, and home protection.
The summit concludes at 6:00 PM following final remarks, door prize drawings, and the distribution of official CE certificates. Admission is 100 percent free for all first responders and their significant others, but space is limited. Reserve your tickets in advance to ensure accurate catering, course materials, and seating for this powerful day of restoration.
