DESCRIPTION:
We will start with a practice of a basic rescue, as this is a skill the club likes everyone to be proficient in as both a rescuer and a swimmer. Then progress to self-rescues using a paddle float and some may also try rolling. We will be going through the exercises and techniques for a lay back roll, one of the easiest rolls to learn. Rolling is just one self rescue technique but not everyone will achieve it as rolling requires flexibility and coordination.
You will be getting wet so have warm paddling gear or a light wet suit. It is also good to have a diving mask for this practice rolling session.
