Join us for a special screening of Rescued Hearts — the powerful new documentary uncovering the miracles, mystery, and science of healing with horses — with the talented filmmakers, Tara Coyote (featured in film) and Healing Horses of Kaua'i (featured in the film) present at the event.
Inspired by a life-changing moment — when a 7-year-old child diagnosed with autism spoke his first words while interacting with a horse — filmmakers Dana Croschere and Krisanna Sexton set out to explore the profound and often miraculous connection between horses and humans.
Through deeply moving personal stories, expert insights, and heart-based research, the film explores how horses offer a space where healing and transformation can unfold — a space where healing is never one-sided.
This community gathering offers a rare chance to experience a film that’s touching hearts across the world, connect with the filmmakers who brought it to life, and share space with others in your community who live and breathe the horse-human connection.
We’re honored to be joined by Tara Coyote, featured in Rescued Hearts. An Equine Facilitated Learning Teacher, EponaQuest Instructor, life coach, grief facilitator, author, and Stage 4 cancer thriver, Tara Coyote’s life is a testament to resilience, courage, and the healing power of horses.

Tara is a beloved friend with long time Portuguese Kaua’i roots, so we’re thrilled to welcome her to share her heart with us in the place she calls home.
Rating: Rescued Hearts carries no official rating, but it does contain sensitive themes within the healing journeys shared. These topics may not be suitable for younger viewers.
