Expert Talks and Panel DiscussionJoin us for some wide-ranging reptilian discussion at Tūhura Otago Museum.
Our passionate panel of herpetologists will begin the session with a series of expert talks:
• Alison Cree, University of Otago: New Zealand reptiles in a global context
• Jo Monks, University of Otago: Conservation biology of New Zealand lizards
• Samuel Purdie, Southern Lakes Sanctuary: Lizards of Ōtepoti and Otago
• Carey Knox, University of Otago and Southern Scales: Detection, surveying, and monitoring methods for New Zealand lizards
And a panel discussion moderated by Elliot Weir (Otago Regional Council) will follow. Topics to be explored include city lizard life, the threat of climate change, and how you can help our reptiles.
