Join your local Repair Café, a friendly, community-led event where you bring your broken items and volunteer fixers help you repair them for free. Using a readily available set of tools and materials, items like clothing, electronics, bicycles, small appliances, toys, crockery, and furniture can often be fixed on the spot.
This relaxed, welcoming environment is more than just mending. It's about sharing skills, connecting with neighbours, and learning how to reduce waste. Repair specialists such as electricians, seamstresses, carpenters, bike mechanics and more offer guidance one-on-one so you can understand and participate in the repair process.
Whether you’ve got something to fix or you'd enjoy helping someone else (and maybe enjoy a cup of tea or coffee), you’re very welcome.
