Repair Cafe: Clothing and Textile Mending Clinic

Bring your washed/clean clothes and other textiles in need of repair to our free sewing and mending clinic. We will have a volunteer mender on site who can either mend textiles for you or offer advice on completing your mending project.
Accepted Items:
• Clothing: Button Replacement, Patching Holes, Simple Hemming.
• Bedding, Blankets, Pillow Cases
• Stuffed Animals, Dolls Clothes, Other Fabric Toys
• Cushions, Table Runner, Home Decor
• Camping Gear, Hammocks
• Workwear, Costumes, Sports Uniforms

We are including a limit of two items at a time per person. Items must be washed or cleaned.
If you have more items to be fixed, feel free to bring them, but we will prioritize fixing a couple things for everyone over multiple items for the same person. Feel free to bring specific supplies to fix your item, if you have them. We will have some supplies on hand.
Please plan on sticking around while your items are fixed
Mending projects require a consultation with Volunteer Menders prior to drop-off. This allows us to discuss the scope of the repair, establish realistic expectations for turnaround time, and determine whether the project falls within the services offered at the Repair Clinic.
