At this King County free community repair event at the Renton Library, our skilled volunteer "fixers" will try to repair and mend household items and clothing!First-come, first-served. If people bring second items, we will try to get to those after we have worked on everyone's first items.

We may decline to work on any item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item, the type of repair needed, the fixers available, or for other reasons.
Our program's repair events have never had reservations or appointments. But in the past we've had advance sign-ups, which gave priority over "walk-ins" or second items. We're not going to do that for our first events this year, although we could still possibly add an online advance sign-up system for future events if it seems necessary.
At these events, we work on many types of small household and personal items, including electronics; toys; tools; small furniture, such as chairs or drawers; clothing; and textiles.
No cell phones, tablet computers or microwaves. Nothing that uses gasoline. No knife or tool sharpening. No lengthy reconstructive repairs. No major clothing alterations. Items brought in for repair, including clothing, must be reasonably clean.
