Content begins with a game that identifies key areas of lead knowledge, and will then cover what lead actually is, a history of its usage over time, how lead enters the body & the health effects of exposure, and finally resources to prevent lead exposure (testing drinking water, paint, blood).
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify children who may be more susceptible to lead exposure.
2 . By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify 3 organizations that can assist with lead prevention information.
3 . By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify 3 or more sources of lead in the home or facility.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
