Please join us on Sunday Oct 19th for the 34th annual Rita Jeffres Memorial Reno Sparks CROP Hunger Walk- walking to end hunger ONE STEP AT A TIME. Funds raised are shared with our 3 local recipients: The Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Ridge House and Eddy House and with Church World Service for global hunger and disaster relief programs.
*The Walk will begin and end at the Sparks United Methodist Church, 1231 Pyramid Way. It is approximately 1.7 miles, travelling from Pyramid to Greenbrae to Rock then Oddie Blvd then back to the church.
*Walkers can be from church and other faith-based groups as well as schools, scout groups, local businesses or just a group of friends. There are no age limits and no sign-up fees. ALL are welcome. Folks are also needed to help with registration at Sparks United Methodist Church, serve as crossing guards and to staff rest stops. Our planning team can always use fresh ideas and new volunteers.
