About this Event

There is a version of Christian life that is safe, comfortable, and predictable. It shows up on Sunday, nods along, and goes home unchanged. It is milk — and most of us have been drinking it far longer than we should.
Renewal Day is not that.
This is a full day set apart for fasting, prayer, honest Scripture, and real community — for people who are done with watered-down faith and ready to answer a harder call. Not a church service. Not a conference. Not entertainment. A day to strip away the noise, return to what matters, and ask the question you've been avoiding:
Am I actually living what I say I believe?
You were not called to coast. You were called to abide, to bear fruit, to remain in the fight. C.S. Lewis once said his hope was that when he died, all of hell would rejoice that he was finally out of the fight. That is the standard. That is what we are reaching for.
Renewal Day is for believers who feel the gap between where they are and where God is calling them. Who know something is missing. Who are hungry for solid food.

Preparing for Renewal Day
Renewal Day is not just a Saturday. It begins Friday evening.
Starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 24th we ask that you begin your fast. This is not just about food — it is about creating space. Space that we normally fill with noise, distraction, and comfort.
The Fast Includes:
- No food from 6 PM Friday through dinner at 6 PM Saturday
- No social media
- No entertainment — television, streaming, podcasts, music playlists
- No idle scrolling
- Reduce conversation to what is necessary
What to do with that space:
This is not about white-knuckling through hunger. It is about replacing what you normally reach for with something better. When you feel the urge to eat, scroll, or tune out — pray instead. Open your Bible instead. Sit in silence instead.
Ask God honest questions. Listen. Journal if that helps you. Read Scripture slowly. Not to check a box — but to actually hear something.
Come Saturday already in a posture of seeking. The fast is not the point — the seeking is.
A few practical notes:
- Water is fine
- If you have any medical conditions that prevent fasting from food, fast from something else that costs you something
- This is between you and God — nobody is checking
How find the Venue:
We will be at the Clubhouse at Horsepower Farms in Powell, OH. There are gates and they will be open. We recommend entering from the Home Road entrance, pull in and turn at the first left. As soon as you turn, the Clubhouse will be directly in front of you. Park at the Clubhouse or other marked spots.
This is a private community of garage condos. We ask that you do not park in front of the garage condos. We have additional parking available if needed.
