A New Chapter for Community Engagement: The Renewable Placer Open House replaces our long-running annual Odor Workshop, expanding the conversation from just odor monitoring and mitigation to the WPWMA’s broader efforts to create a cleaner, greener, and more innovative tomorrow.

What to expect:

• Informational Booths and Activities - Engage with our team of experts, explore educational exhibits, and enjoy activities for all ages. Learn how the WPWMA is planning for the future while meeting the needs of a growing population and region.
• Campus Bus Tours - Hop aboard a guided tour across the WPWMA's entire campus to see our operations in action including composting facilities, landfill and landfill gas-to-energy, Construction & Demolition processing facilities, and more.
• Walking Tours of the New MRF - Be among the first to walk through our newly upgraded Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where state-of-the-art technology sorts and recovers recyclable and compostable material with greater efficiency than ever before. Learn how your waste is transformed into a resource after it leaves your home.
