RENEW REBUILD HAWAI'i & APA-HI: RESILIENCE FORUM
About this Event
RESILIENCE FORUM
RENEW REBUILD HAWAIʻi and the Hawaiʻi Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA) are hosting a Resilience Forum on July 30 at 8:00 a.m. at the Foreign Trade Zone Conference Center in Honolulu.
The theme of the forum is "Oil Shocks and Resilience: 1973–2026." The program will invite panelists and the public to discuss and explore how today's energy price and supply challenges are affecting Hawaiʻi differently than they did 53 years ago. It will examine what a new generation of leaders, planners, and policymakers can do to address the energy, economic, and resilience challenges facing our islands.
For more information about this topic and RENEW REBUILD HAWAIʻi, please visit: https://renewrebuildhawaii.com/blog.
The forum will also be broadcast on Zoom for those on the neighbor islands. We hope you can come in person, as the forum will encourage networking amongst local energy, engineering, business, government, and planning professionals. The forum is partially sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Green Infrastructure Authority (GEMS). AICP credits for the event will be available for those who qualify.
This event is hybrid to promote inclusivity and accessibility across all of Hawaiʻi and is FREE. Donations are strongly encouraged at the door for in-person attendees. Coffee & refreshments will be served. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m., and the program will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
