Join us to remove invasive Scotch Broom along the Painter trail in Royal Bay. We will meet right at the very end of Ryder Hesjedal Way (3356 Ryder Hesjedal Way) where there will be parking in the Cul-de-Sac and in front of the construction zone.
Please wear comfortable clothing that covers your arms and legs to protect from thorny plants & insects. Wear comfortable, sturdy closed-toe shoes that allow you to safely walk on uneven ground. Bring eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses) to wear. And finally, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
We will provide training, tools, gloves, and snacks.
If this is your first volunteer event with Friends of Colwood Parks, we will assist you onsite to sign up with the City of Colwood volunteer program.
