We are honoured to be able to invite the whole of Kearsley to join together this year on Sunday, 9th November 2025, in remembrance.
We begin by meeting outside Kearsley Cricket Club from 9.00am, and then the parade will form at 9.15am to march to the Cenotaph led by the wonderful Kearsley Youth Brass Band, setting off at 9.30am.
We will join together for the laying of wreaths, a two minute silence, and prayers at the Cenotaph on Manchester Road.
Kearsley Youth Brass Band will then lead us to St. John Fisher for a short service to begin around 10.15am, finishing with another 2 minutes of silence at 11 am.
Our streets will be lined with poppies. Let's line our streets with people of al ages to join in this year's march. If you haven't been for a long time or you have never been before, it is one of the most significant events that is held every year in Kearsley.
After the church service, everyone is welcome back to Kearsley Cricket Club from 11am for food, refreshments, and a war time sing along with "The Entertainers" from Farnworth Performing Arts Company.
