REMEMBRANCE SERVICE & PARADE – MONDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2024This years Remembrance Service takes place on Monday 11 November 2024 at the town’s War Memorial (located at the junction of Camp Road and Ennerdale Road).

• Monday 11th November 2024
• 10:20am: 4 Armoured Close Support Battalion REME will march from The Shed
• 10:40am: Service starts
• 11:00am: 2 minutes silence
PARADE
We have the pleasure in welcoming back 4 Armoured Close Support Battalion REME who will march from The Shed at 10.20am to the War Memorial and then march back after the service. Whilst there will not be as many soldiers as last year, we are still honoured that they will be back in Whitehill & Bordon not forgetting the important part that REME had in our town.
PARKING
There is no parking near the War Memorial. WBRC (Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company) have kindly advised that the car parks located in the vicinity of The Shed will be free of charge for that day. (Monday 11 November)
SERVICE SHEET
A service sheet will be available on the day and can be downloaded and viewed from our website which will be available nearer the time.
REFRESHMENTS
After the service light refreshments will be provided by St Matthews Church.
LAYING OF WREATHS
During the service there will be an opportunity to lay wreaths – relatives of the fallen, community groups and members of the public will be called up to the War Memorial and will be able to lay their wreaths.
ROLL OF HONOUR
Our town’s Roll of Honour is at located at the War Memorial, there is also a copy at the Bordon Library and also available on our website. There are 69 names on our Roll of Honour.
Following the service there will be a short ceremony at the Bordon Military Cemetery located on Bolley Avenue for anyone who wishes to attend: https://woolmerforest.org.uk/Military_History/Army_Cemetery/index.php
