Hexham Town Council - Remembrance Events 2024Saturday 9th November
10.15am - laying of poppy crosses on the war graves of those interred at Hexham Cemetery followed by the laying of a poppy cross on a war grave within St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
Families & friends of the fallen are welcome to attend.
12 noon - laying a wreath at the Roll of Honour memorials for both World Wars which are held within Hexham General Hospital.
Sunday 10th November
9:30 am - Remembrance Day service at churches in Hexham; and at Hexham Abbey there will be a Parish Eucharist.
10:15 am - Parade from Hexham Moot Hall, followed by
10:30 am - Service at Hexham War Memorial, Beaumont Street
Please note there will be no gun salute this year
Monday 11th November
11.00 am – a two-minute silence at the War Memorial for all who want to attend (informal)
Hexham Town Council welcomes & appreciates all those who attend & take part in our Remembrance Events, including community, voluntary and faith organisations, professional and uniformed organisations, and representatives of our Armed Forces.
