Join us for the conference “Courage in Darkness – Women’s Stories”, organised as part of the Remembrance Day for the Victims of German Nazi Camps.
This year’s event focuses on the experiences of women who were affected by German Nazi persecution. Through survivor testimonies, historical presentations, exhibitions, and shared reflection, we will explore stories of courage, suffering, loss, survival, and remembrance.
Women were prisoners, witnesses, survivors, mothers, daughters, and guardians of memory. Their experiences did not end with liberation. Many spent the rest of their lives coping with the consequences of war, the loss of loved ones, and the trauma left by the system of persecution created by Nazi Germany.
During the conference, we will remember the stories of women from different backgrounds and nationalities who were affected by German Nazi concentration and extermination camps. We seek to honour all victims, as well as those who survived and dedicated their lives to preserving the truth and sharing their experiences with future generations.
This event is dedicated to remembrance, education, and reflection. Its purpose is to honour the victims, preserve historical memory, and help pass these lessons on to future generations.
Remembering the past. Educating the present. Inspiring future generations.
