The Butte Archives is excited to offer a new adventure in evening programming touching on Butte history!
Jim McCarthy, a local Butte historian and volunteer at the Archives, will be outlining his years-long research project on seven individual neighborhoods on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM in the auditorium at the Butte Archives. The series will feature presentations on Dublin Gulch, FinnTown, The East Side, Parrot Flat, East Butte, Meaderville and the McQueen Addition. The eighth and final presentation of the series will be on November 17th, and is titled “Galloping Houses”, which will be an interesting compilation of houses that have been moved from their original location and have been relocated (because of mining OR other various reasons) to another location…in Butte or elsewhere!
We would love to have the presentation attendees share their photos, stories, keepsakes and memories for a fun evening of reminiscing! Slainte!
