Arlene Hartin will be speaking on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the 1964 flood in Northern California. The flood, also known as The Christmas Flood of 1964, was a major flood in the United States that spanned the Christmas holiday and was considered a 100-year flood. It was the worst flood in recorded history on nearly every major stream and river in coastal Northern California. The event will take place at the Eureka Woman's Club at 1531 J Street Eureka, prior to the program, and dessert and coffee will be provided.
