«Mona Ulriche Schanche (b.1998) is a photographer based in Oslo, who works with both a digital and analogue camera to combine her documentary and commercial interests. With seemingly little to no limitation she captures portraits of people at their most vulnerable in search of adventure, connection and harmony within themselves. Her work has earned her first place of both «Årets Nykommer» and «Åpen Klasse» at «Årets Bilde 2021».
As her never-ending project titled "NOT THE BEST, BUT STILL GOOD" engulfs most of her images, they will as usual appear as a description of her relation to photography, but this time around she is putting herself herself quite literally in the spotlight.»
