Relief Wood Carving Workshop with Greg Young
Wednesdays, June 10, 17: 6-8:30 pm
Shallow relief wood carving is a great place to start on your wood carving journey. It involves learning to master undercutting, texturing and carving layers of depth. In this wood carving class for beginners and experienced alike, you will learn the steps to carve this relief carving of a bear on a log. The instructor will demonstrate the carving of each step leading to the completion of the project as well as work with each student individually throughout the class time. Prepare to have fun and do bring your sense of humor! Students need to purchase Kevlar carving gloves ($9 on Amazon); all other supplies and tools are provided. An additional $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Must register by June 8.
