Marquis.
The eight relics, all quite rare, represent many aspects of Christ’s
passion, crucifixion, burial and resurrection. They include:
• A fragment of the true cross
• A thorn from Christ’s crown.
• A small fiber fragment from the Shroud of Turin
• A replica image of Christ’s Emerging Face, based on most
recent scientific study of the Shroud
• An accurate replica casting of one of the 3 nails
• The index finger of Joseph of Arimathea, which he inserted
through Christ’s mouth to turn his head to remove him from the
cross.
• A piece of the Sudarium of Oviedo, the linen cloth used to cover
Christ’s face and found folded at a distance from the Shroud.
• The little finger of St. Thomas’s right hand, with which he
probed the wounds in Christ’s side and hands.
All are welcome to attend! This will take place on March 30 at 7:00 pm at St. Michael the Archangel's Church (11441 Hubbard, Livonia, MI 48150)
