Release & Rise – Ecstatic Dance and Workshop - Bury St Edmunds
Schedule
Sun, 16 Nov, 2025 at 05:00 pm
UTC+00:00Location
Unitarian Meeting House Bury St Edmunds | Bury St Edmunds, EN
A 3-hour embodied practice to release fascia tension, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with ease and freedom of movement.
This session brings together fascia-informed movement, breathwork, animal embodiment, and Ecstatic Dance — supported by a new higher-quality sound system to deepen your experience.
What to Expect
We begin with grounding and gentle arrival, followed by a guided exploration of fascia inspired by Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains.
Together, we will:
Learn about the body’s main fascial lines and how they affect posture, emotions, and mobility
Explore simple movement tests to notice where fascia feels restricted or out of flow
Release and rehydrate fascia through Yin-inspired holds, spirals, and intuitive movement
Practice four practical breathwork tools for energy, calm, and emotional balance
Experience simple nervous system reset techniques for grounding and presence
Fascia & Emotions – Moving What Words Cannot Reach
Fascia holds memory. Unfelt emotions and old stress patterns can live in our connective tissue and influence how we move and respond.
Through guided movement and breath, we give the body space to release and reset — without forcing, just allowing.
Tea Break + Optional Face Paint
We’ll pause for 15 min tea break and quiet connection.
If you wish, you can take part in a simple symbolic face-paint ritual — marking what you’re ready to release and the energy you want to embody moving forward.
Ecstatic Dance Wave
The second half of the journey invites you into a full Ecstatic Dance Wave to:
Move freely and expressively
Release tension and open energy flow
Awaken vitality, joy, and inner strength
The music will take you on a wave from grounding to expansion, from release to stillness where you can practice the tools learned during the workshop.
Closing
We finish with soothing breath, full body guided relaxation and rest to integrate the experience, leaving you feeling balanced and renewed.
