Relaxed Screening: Peyton Place
Come join us at Newcastle City Library for a Relaxed Screening of 1957's Peyton Place.
Directed by Mark Robson and starring Lana Turner, Hope Lange, and Russ Tamblyn. The small New England mill town of Peyton Place might have a tranquil facade, but scratch the service and scandal, M**der, suicide, incest, and moral hypocrisy are revealed. Based on Grace Metalious's bestselling 1956 novel.
Peyton Place was a major box-office success, nominated for nine Academy Awards, and influenced David Lynch and Mark Frost when creating Twin Peaks.
