Rupture is not the end of a relationship: it is often the beginning of the most honest kind of work.
In this workshop, we will explore what it truly takes to repair connection after harm, misattunement, or relational rupture. Rather than avoiding conflict or rushing toward resolution, we will focus on how repair can become a meaningful, skillful, and transformative part of building trust, intimacy, and resilience, especially within the layered complexity of non-monogamous relationships.
We will begin by examining the anatomy of an effective apology, breaking down what makes an apology feel sincere, accountable, and reparative. Attendees will learn a clear, practical structure for taking responsibility in ways that avoid defensiveness, minimization, justification, or emotional reversal. From there, we will explore the more nuanced and often misunderstood process of forgiveness: what it is, what it is not, and how to approach it in ways that honor both personal boundaries and emotional truth.
Throughout the workshop, we will center emotional resilience as a core skill in repair work. Attendees will explore how to stay present during emotionally charged conversations, regulate activation in the body and nervous system, and remain connected to themselves while engaging with difficult truths, discomfort, or accountability.
We will also focus on the long-term nature of rebuilding trust after rupture. Attendees will learn how trust is restored through consistent, observable actions over time rather than words alone, how to set realistic expectations during the repair process, and how relationships can — when repair is done with care and integrity — become stronger and more resilient than they were before the rupture. We will also acknowledge that not all repair is complete or possible, and explore how to navigate those realities with honesty and self-respect.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will leave with practical frameworks for offering meaningful apologies, engaging in thoughtful and grounded forgiveness, and co-creating repair processes that support deeper accountability, emotional clarity, and long-term relational health.

Doors open at 6:30pm. Workshop starts at 7pm.

The Relationship Foundations Series is designed to provide competency in core relationship skills that are necessary to maintain successful meaningful relationships. By identifying the most prominent friction points in the practice of transitioning and practicing non-monogamy, the series seeks to provide attendees with the knowledge and practical skills to avoid roadblocks, move through discomfort, and build thriving relationships.
