13th Annual Reindeer Run – Dec. 6 in Downtown HammondThe Reindeer Run returns with a chip-timed 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk through the heart of historic Downtown Hammond. It’s one of the most festive traditions of the Christmas season.
All participants—whether running the 5K or walking the 1-mile—will receive a custom finisher medal. This event is a community favorite for experienced runners, families, and everyone in between.
Strollers are welcome, including jogging strollers. Children in strollers don’t need to be registered unless you’d like them to receive a medal too.
Packet pickup
• Friday, Dec. 6, from 12–6 p.m. at Perfectly Fit (303 W. Minnesota Park Rd, Suite E, Hammond)
• Race day pickup begins at 7 a.m. in Cate Square
Race day schedule
• 1-mile fun run: 8:00 a.m.
• 5K: immediately after the last 1-mile runner finishes (approximately 8:30 a.m.)
After crossing the finish line, enjoy a holiday-themed after party in Cate Square Park.
Free parking is available throughout Downtown Hammond, including the parking mall just a short walk from the starting line.
