About this Event
At Taproots Farm Hub, we are re-imagining Treasure Valley agriculture by creating a supportive incubator that offers secure land, shared resources, training, and market opportunities for organic farmers.
We are working toward a Treasure Valley where farmers thrive in community, land is stewarded with care for future generations, and all people are integral members of an ecosystem with access to nutritious food.
We admire many incubator farm programs throughout the US and are grateful to host Katherine Myrvold, Education Manager at Viva Farms in Washington, to present on Viva's history and programming. We will discuss access to organic farmland for producers and how Viva did it in their state.
We'll follow this presentation up by a panel of innovators in the Treasure Valley including Taproots own Casey O'Leary, David Anderson of American Farmland Trust, and two more TBA panelists.
We'll use the presentations for discussion fodder over lunch!
Food caterer TBD.
If you are unable to pay, please email [email protected] and we will get you a ticket.
