The Lake Erie Seaway Trail Center (LESTC) has long been a welcoming gateway and visitor center to travelers, local town residents, and passer-bys along the Great Lakes Seaway Trail, a New York State National Designated Scenic Byway. As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue our clean-up efforts and beautification of the Center —including exploring the possibility of a community mural to bring new life and color to the historical Wanakah water works building.
We’ve partnered with artist and consultant, Saira Siddiqui, to lead a community engagement process and help us envision what this next chapter of the LESTC can look like.

Also, please mark your calendars! On Thursday, November 6 from 4–7pm, we’ll host a community open house at the Center. This event will build on survey input and invite neighbors of all ages to co-create ideas for programming and mural themes. Activities will be designed for all ages — come share your voice, your story, and your vision for the LESTC.
