Learn how to use Reiki on yourself and your loved ones with this wonderful 2-day course run by Spa Owner, Maxine. The course will run on Sunday 2 November and Sunday 9 November and you will need to attend both dates, 11am-4pm. Reiki is a natural energy-based technique that allows your body to re-balance, stimulate its own healing abilities and bring a feeling of peace and calmness to your mind and body.
Reiki training involves 2 levels – with Reiki I you will learn about the history of Reiki, how it works and its benefits. You can practice Reiki on yourself or on friends and family following a Reiki I course. If you wish to work as a Reiki practitioner or deepen your connection with Reiki, you can go on to Reiki II which is usually taught at least 3-6 months after the Reiki I qualification.
Reiki training is often a doorway to your spiritual journey and is a beautiful tool for self-development, personal growth and expansion and healing.
The 2-day Usui Reiki I course includes:
• History of Reiki and Reiki principles
• An understanding of energy, chakras and intention
• How imbalances in energy are related to ill-health
• How Reiki helps to balance your mind and body
• Hand positions for Reiki
• Self-treatment with Reiki
• Meditations and attunement
You will need to carry out a 21-day clearing following the training and prior to certification – this will involve practising Reiki on yourself for a 21-day continuous period at a time convenient to you. It’s a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the effects and benefits of Reiki.

I own Alexandra House Spa, a holistic spa in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I’ve been practising Reiki for over 15 years and am a qualified Reiki Master. I’ve taught Reiki for the last 8 years and love introducing people to the wonders of Reiki. I have a scientific background and my courses cover some of the scientific underpinning of Reiki.
