Shoden means “first teachings.” Over two unhurried mornings, we’ll connect the history and principles of this practice with guided, hands-on experience. At the heart of our time together is your Level 1 Reiki attunement, a traditional initiation that connects you to the Usui lineage. You’ll leave with a comprehensive manual and a self-care practice to continue at home.
What you’ll explore:
• Reiki history and the lineage of Mikao Usui’s teachings
• Practitioner ethics and creating a healing space
• Traditional Reiki hand positions for self-treatment and sharing with others
• The Three Pillars of Reiki: Gassho, Reiji-ho, and Chiryo
• Byosen energetic scanning
• Reiki treatment session flow
• Your Level 1 Reiki attunement
No prior experience is needed, only a willingness to listen inward. This workshop welcomes beginners seeking a deeper, more intentional way to care for themselves.
