In this 90-minute class, Reiki Master Teacher, Author, and Spiritual Healer Wendy Jordan will introduce you to the history and practice of Reiki, beginning with its roots in Japan and journey to the West. With over 20 years of experience, Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her teaching. She has worked in hospice care, led Reiki retreats, and supported veterans with PTSD through trauma release techniques. After beginning her journey in Chicago, she spent 15 years in private practice in Santa Fe before moving to East Peoria three years ago.During the class, you’ll gain an understanding of energy healing for both yourself and others, and hear Wendy’s personal story of why she chose to learn Reiki and how it has transformed her life. Together, the group will experience a chakra balance and meditation, followed by participation in a collective Reiki treatment. There will also be time for questions, allowing space for exploration and reflection.
Reiki offers many benefits, including strengthening the immune system, supporting pain relief and management, improving sleep, and easing the recovery process before and after surgery. It can also provide deep emotional healing, reduce stress, enhance spiritual connection, and extend into areas such as Animal Reiki and support in hospice and caregiving settings.
