Novelist and Filmmaker John Sayles will be here in-person to talk about his new novel about Henry Ford.John Sayles’ Crucible is a complex and vast historical novel about Henry Ford — the Elon Musk of his day, in more ways than one — and his attempt to rule not only an automotive empire. It is an epic tale ranging from the 1920s through the second World War, featuring violent labor disputes, misbegotten jungle expeditions, a tragic race riot, and the gestapo tactics of Ford’s private army.
The registration page for the event is located in the Library’s events calendar at dearbornlibrary.org. A Zoom link will be sent via email a day or two beforehand to virtual participants. An in-person showing will occur in the Library Auditorium.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase before, during, and after the Event.
