The workshop will engage nurses working within First Nations communities across the province for learning, knowledge exchange & networking.
About this Event

Hosted by the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority, the Indigenous Services 2025 Regional Nursing Workshop will unite nurses from across Saskatchewan working in First Nations communities for a collaborative professional development event. This workshop will focus on knowledge sharing, skill-building, and fostering connections among health professionals. Key topics will include Home Care, Community Health, Primary Care, Leadership, and Emerging Health Issues.

Key Outcomes Expected:

  • Culturally Relevant Education: Participants will receive up-to-date, evidence-based training, customized to the unique needs of Indigenous communities.
  • Strengthened Collaboration & Resource Sharing: Nurses and healthcare providers will have the opportunity to build stronger networks and share resources to improve care in Indigenous communities.

Important Information:

  • This workshop is for nurses working or employed by First Nations organizations in Saskatchewan or Indigenous Services Canada Saskatchewan Region.
  • There is no registration fee for participants; however, travel and related expenses are the responsibility of the attendees.
  • Registration is limited to 170 participants and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If the workshop reaches capacity, please email to be added to the waitlist.
  • Please note that Day 1 starts at 11:00 am with registration and lunch, Days 2 and 3 start at 7:30 am with breakfast.

Hotel rooms have been blocked at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown and the Hilton Garden Inn.
