Regional Education and Work-Based Learning Summit
About this Event
In conjunction with Learn More Earn More, Region 8 Education Service Center, Questa Education Foundation, and the Don Wood Foundation, this half-day event is an invitation to join a coalition of dedicated individuals as we rally northeast Indiana around better preparation for our students and adult learners. This initiative functions in tandem with area education and support organizations, workforce development and economic development leaders, and especially employers facing workforce shortages and innovation overload.
This is a "Yes, and" approach to bolstering the skills of our kids, our people, and our outlook as rapidly-advancing technologies emerge. Together, we have committed to growing our local talent, encouraging ongoing learning across industries, and creating a pool of resources to help overcome challenges to learning beyond high school. Our work is fact-based, and we openly share data through a dashboard for anyone to use for planning. We also know that change is hard, and we tend to hold onto outdated perceptions that prevent us from embracing our bright future. As a result, we've created a targeted marketing effort to shift mindsets towards empowering learning.
Ideal attendees are stakeholders interested in growing our region's talent, reducing barriers to accessing education and training, strengthening employer engagement, and more.
The keynote address will be delivered by Past President and Senior Advisor for the Sagamore Institute Teresa Lubbers. She's a powerhouse advocate for education and community engagement at the state level.
We look forward to seeing you there!
