yes it's that time again when Hastings Fat Tuesday's Music Festival runs Hastings into party mode.... and Reggae Room will be there to join in with tha vibes and get you all irie to tha heavy sweet Sounds of reggae.
Hastings very own veteran reggae soundsystem ( DUB GENERALS ) will be your host sound as usual , with selector Coz hosting on tha mic with lyrical fire throughout the session,plus reggae Room as usual with no need of approval will be joined by special guests from wìthin the circles of reggae & reggae soundsystem culture... adding even more positive and uplifting entertainment for everyone's fulljoyment , so put on ya dancing shoes if ya choose and skank tha night away inna rub,a,dub roots rock dancehall stylie....

"MessenJah Music Sound System started its journey way back in 1993,
when the crew built their first set of speaker boxes by hand,
just to bring reggae and dub vibes to local house parties.
Those early sessions shaped the sound’s identity — grassroots,
community‑minded, and driven by a love for message music.
MessenJah Music Records was founded in 1999,
giving the team a home for their own productions and collaborations.
After years of crafting their sound, the label released its first
official 12" record in 2005, marking a proud milestone in the movement.
Today, MessenJah Music continues to champion heavyweight roots and dub,
blending foundation selections with original works and
spiritual upliftment.
The mission remains the same as day one: build the sound, spread the message,
and share the love."

Hailing from Hastings is the locally known veteran musician Marcus Weeks , with a long and diverse history in music ,he has been a regular in tha local music scene , playing his trombone alongside many local musical talents over many decades..., but is now most notably recognised over the last ten years as tha brass section and melodica player for Hastings very own reggae band... tha hit bound sound from Hastings Town.. MIGHTY SOUNDS . So expect to hear some live brass... ( or melodica melodies ) drifting across tha dancehall inna rootsman style all tha while to keep u rocking with delight....

Hailing from South London is tha selector named: Sam’KiliMan’Jago ,who runs New Era Sound System. He’s Dj’d for over 30 years and always had a strong passion for music, vinyl, vintage sound effects and sound systems!
Reggae Roots Dub/music gave him a path to follow, traveling all over from Japan, Europe the UK and further leading him to many festivals , Dances & Sound System events!
With an in-Depth knowledge over music expect to hear heavy weight Raw Dub Plates, Specials, Dub and Spiritual Roots music.
He plays on Real Roots Radio and runs a regular event called ‘Culture Yard’.

Hailing from Hastings is tha hugely talented singer.... Lee Prudence ( locally known as singer Lee ),with music being a major influence all her life and singing coming naturally to her, she is no stranger to tha stage. With a vocal range and style that would happily complement anything from gospel harmonies to soul melodies and put tha soft gentle glittery touch to any lovers rock riddim ,she has a sensational voice that automatically demands attention. Over tha last decade she has been most notably recognised for being tha singing voice for tha hit bound sound.. Mighty Sounds ( Hastings very own reggae band )
