Lori Gard will launch her second book Reg Takes a Trip on Saturday, September 21st from 1 to 2 pm. The launch will be held in the Children's Program Room of the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre, located at 97 Queen Street. The event is free, all are welcome to attend.
Reg is a bear whose name rhymes with EGG. Reg does not like going to sleep for the night, and when bedtime arrives, he must find a way to wind down. Luckily, Reg has his big sister Co-co to help move him through all the big feelings of his day and into a state of calmness.
Join Reg as he visualizes an imaginary trip to the ocean that will soon have him off to sleep. Reg Takes a Trip, the latest in the Tales for Big Feelings series, uses the five senses to guide reluctant young sleepers into dreamland.
You can follow Reg on his adventures. In Reg Goes Swimming, he likes to climb trees, eat snacks, and sleep. Most of all, Reg loves to swim in the creek. One day as he heads out, he notices that a few obstacles stand in his way. How will Reg react to the challenges of the day ahead? Find out during Lori’s Storytime at the library earlier in the day and watch for the next book in the series coming soon.
LORI GARD, M.Sc, M.Ed, is a writer, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and nationally certified Solution Focused Brief Therapist with CCPC Global. She currently works as a K–6 school counselor. Lori has written for Huffington Post, Edutopia, the Yummy Mummy Club, PEI Living Magazine, and PEI’s Red Magazine. She is the author of two children’s books, Reg Goes Swimming and Reg Takes a Trip. Lori lives in Mill River East, PEI, with her husband and their four children
