About this Event

Refuge Teaching and Ceremony

Since the time of the Buddha, aspiring students of his teachings have begun their path by taking the Vow of Refuge: taking the Buddha as their teacher, the dharma as their path, and the sangha as their community, students commit to diving deeper into their spiritual practice to benefit themselves and all beings.

Curious about Refuge and want to explore more? Lama Tom Broadwater will offer a Teaching on the Refuge Vow at 2 PM followed by the Refuge Ceremony itself from 2:30 to 3:30.

The program will answer your questions about Refuge and Buddhist practice, and the ceremony - whether you participate as an aspiring Refuge-taker or a sympathetic observer - will help you understand the role of Refuge in spiritual practice and life.

May all beings benefit!
