Refresh + Reimagine your Kākahu with Tuihana
Got a jacket, coat, shirt, jeans, or favourite piece of kākahu sitting in the wardrobe waiting for its comeback moment?
Join Tuihana Ohia for a relaxed creative morning exploring how to refresh, reimagine, and bring new life to the kākahu we already own.
Bring a piece you’d like to work on, plus any embellishments, patches, buttons, beads, trims, or bits and pieces you want to add. Tuihana will share examples of her own upcycled kākahu and guide you through ideas to help spark your own creative expression.
This is not about perfect sewing or being “good at art.” It’s about playing, experimenting, expressing your style, and giving something old a new life.
Sustainability with personality.
Less waste. More imagination.
Very much a “don’t throw it out, make it fabulous” situation.
Saturday 20 June
