Oranga Taiao – Tūāpapa: Day Two with Para Kore FREE!
Day Two of our Oranga Taiao – Tūāpapa wānanga with Para Kore gets right into the rubbish. Literally.
This session covers:
Arotakenga Para | Waste Check
What is actually going into the bin? Waste checks help us see whether things are ending up in the right place — rubbish, recycling, compost, animal feed, reuse, or maybe not needing to exist in the first place. Awkward, but useful.
Te Paparanga Para | The Waste Hierarchy
We’ll look at the many options we have before landfill, how the waste hierarchy works, and how this connects back to Te Ao Māori tikanga and traditional ways of respecting resources.
This is a practical wānanga for anyone wanting to make better choices at home, at mahi, at the marae, or in community spaces.
No shame. No perfection. Just clearer thinking, better systems, and less stuff going where it shouldn’t.
Spaces are limited — book through our website in tickets below.
Ngā mihi Jamie from Parakore for bringing this kaupapa to the whare.
Check out Para Kore online for their amazing in strengthening whanaungatanga and connection to Papatūānuku through education, resourcing and support.
